Why do I Believe in True Love?
The LA Dodgers played an exhibition game in Salem, Oregon one year. One of their players, a young man from Brooklyn, attended a party while in town. While he was there, a young woman from a small farm town accidently walked in. She was supposed to be at the party next door, but before her friends found her she ran into that young man. And as they say, the rest is history.
My history. Because that young man and that young woman were my parents.
I grew up believing in true love and fate because I’m the product of it! Everything had to line up perfectly for my parents to meet, and they did. Their love story is amazing and deserves to be told over and over again. And so does yours.
That’s why I do what I do. I was born to tell love stories through photographs. I document love and marriage, creating a legacy for every couple. While I understand how important your wedding is, I care more about your marriage and how your wedding is just one part of your love story.
I create a visual story of your love.
I’m able to do that by really getting to know each and every couple I work with. That way we can really trust each other. I want your authentic self to come through in each photography, which can be hard for some. That’s why it’s so important for us to get to know each other.
ABOUT AMANDA-LEE SEELY PHOTOGRAPHY
I fell in love with wedding photography while planning my own wedding. As a bride I was able to understand the importance of wedding photography — those photos are a part of my legacy, and that fascinated me. Even though I’d never picked up a camera before, I knew wedding photography was something I was meant to do. I began taking classes, attending workshops, and in 2009 I photographed my first wedding.
Since then I’ve worked with many couples and mastered my own style of wedding photography. My work has been called simultaneously modern yet classic. By blending a photojournalistic style with traditional portraiture, I capture your life-changing moments and preserve them in photographs that will stand the test of time.

EXPERIENCE
Amanda-lee
I was born and raised in Middle Village, New York, though I spent most of my holidays and summers in the heart of wine country in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. That’s why I love returning to Oregon to photograph weddings. It’s a chance to visit my second home.
Before I became a wedding photographer, I worked in the Thoroughbred industry. I was involved in several Triple Crown contenders and I retired from riding in 2001. I’m incredibly proud of my accomplishment in that industry. It was a time of my life that I will always treasure. It taught me that anything is possible if you work hard enough. Those lessons have stayed with me as I’ve built my photography studio.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m spending time with my daughter Cece in our small town of Carle Place, New York. And I can’t forget our 4 dogs, my dream horse Pye and the feral cat we share with neighbors!
